Introducing the Conch Scramble

We recently had the thrill of experiencing one of the most unique charity golf events in the country - the Conch Scramble in Islamorada, Florida. This water-based golf tournament is a one-of-a-kind experience with nine waterfront holes, each hosted at a private residence or local venue. Teams traveled to each hole by boat.

Each of the 54 teams suited up in creative costumes and cruised from dock to dock, hitting golf balls from piers and seawalls at floating golf targets set in the crystal clear waters of the Florida Keys. Hundreds of participants joined the fun, blending tropical energy with friendly competition and a deep sense of community.

Players scored points by hitting the floating targets, and the team with the best combined score across all nine holes took home the win. But the biggest victory was the more than $80,000 raised for local Islamorada charities. The event proved that golf doesn't need to be traditional to make a big impact. Events like this show what’s possible when you combine creative event design with tools like our ZERO® Biodegradable Golf Balls.

The Conch Scramble is a perfect example of how waterfront golf experiences can create lasting memories, support important causes, and respect the environment. You don’t need a full course to create magic. Just a little imagination, a love of the water, and the right equipment. Tee Off in Paradise!
